Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect:

• Contact information, including your name, email address, and phone number.
• Employment application information, including your availability, work experience, desired role, answers you submit through our Careers page, and an optional résumé you choose to upload.
• Account identifiers associated with your Sweet J's or Square Loyalty profile.
• Device identifiers, including a notification token used to deliver app notifications.
• Limited technical information, such as an IP-derived security identifier, used to prevent spam and abusive submissions.
• Product-interaction data, such as rewards activity, Swirls progress, game scores, challenges, leaderboard activity, and feature interactions.
• Limited website measurement data, such as pages viewed, Order Online link clicks, and advertising-attribution information stored through cookies or similar technologies.

Payment-card information entered through an external ordering or payment provider is handled by that provider. Sweet J's Creamery does not receive or store your complete payment-card number through the customer app.

How we use information

We use this information to provide app functionality, including to:

• Connect and manage rewards and loyalty features.
• Display points, rewards, game progress, scores, challenges, and leaderboard results.
• Generate and support in-store loyalty identification.
• Send notifications you allow, such as rewards, streak, store, and app updates.
• Maintain, secure, and support the customer experience.
• Review job applications, communicate with applicants, make hiring decisions, and maintain appropriate hiring records.
• Measure the effectiveness of Sweet J's advertising and understand when an advertisement leads someone to select an Order Online link.

We do not sell your personal information. Advertising measurement is not enabled on the Careers application or private Hiring Hub, and résumé files and job-application answers are not sent through the advertising pixel.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate parts of the experience. These may include Square for loyalty, rewards, ordering, gift cards, and related customer services; Apple and Expo services for app delivery and notifications; OpenAI for advertising measurement and attribution; and hosting providers for our website and app services. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices and only as needed to provide their services.

Your choices

• You can disable notifications in your device settings.
• You may choose not to connect a loyalty account, although some rewards features will not be available.
• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information controlled by Sweet J's Creamery by contacting us.
• Square-managed loyalty information may also be subject to Square's account and privacy controls.
• You can use your browser's privacy and cookie controls to restrict or remove measurement cookies.

Data retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, evaluate employment applications, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the security of our business and users. Job applications and uploaded résumés are stored in private business systems and are available only to authorized Sweet J's personnel. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. The effective date above will identify the latest version posted on this page.
